"Souper" Bowl of Caring Souper Bowl of Caring equips and mobilizes congregations, schools and businesses to positively impact their communities by collecting money or food on or near Super Bowl Weekend. 100% of the collections are donated directly to the charity of each group''s choice - the donations received at Gethsemane are given to the Morrison County Food Shelf. www.souperbowl.org
Kids Against Hunger A volunteer driven effort to provide emergency food relief where crisis has struck and there is immediate need. Oasis Share-A-Meal Oasis Share-A-Meal is a free supper served every Thursday night in Little Falls, MN. Gethsemane along with other groups in the area take turns providing and serving the meal.
Oasis Community Paint-A-Thon Each summer, a home is selected to be painted in Morrison County and we help apply the paint - mostly we paint the house, occasionally we paint each other.
Habitat For Humanity An international and local, ecumenical Christian, non-governmental, non-profit organization devoted to building "simple, decent and affordable" housing. Homes are built using volunteer labor and are sold at no profit. www.habitat.org
Hands Of Hope Resource Center A local resource center that advocates, educates and promotes societal change for those affected by violence and abuse. We support this center through financial gifts. www.handsofhope.net
Morrison County Food Shelf To help alleviate hunger in our area we provide financial support and donate non-perishable food items to the Morrison County Food Shelf in Little Falls, MN. Upsala Helping Hands Fund Area congregations and individuals give money to the Upsala ministerial to be given to local individuals when in need.
Marie Sandvik Center, Inc The Marie Sandvik Center is a Christian based, non-profit charitable organization providing for the material and spiritual needs of the poor living in the Minneapolis area inner city. We hold an annual "Hats and Mittens" drive during the Fall. www.mariesandvikcenter.org

Samaritan's Purse (Operation Christmas Child) Operation Christmas Child brings joy and hope to children through gift-filled shoe boxes and the Good News of God's love. Each October we encourage you to bring items to be wrapped by our Sunday School children or bring a shoebox already filled. Wycliffe USA An organization working worldwide to translate the Bible not only into the written Word of God but also through their lives reflect the love of God as well. NEMN Honduras Ministry (Diapers For Honduras) "Homemade" diapers from t-shirts for the NEMN Synod Honduras Mission Teams to take along to a hospital in Honduras. You can donate used or new t-shirts (they need to be 16" from under arm to top of hem and a minimum 50% cotton) and/or help cut and sew diapers during our diaper making gatherings. Lutheran Partners In Global Ministry Led mostly by lay people, LPGM advocates for global mission through congregations and connects people to global projects through giving, mission trips, presentations and volunteering. NEMN Synod Assembly "Quilts, Quarters and Marketplace" Each year at the NEMN Synod Assembly congregations present handmade quilts and various items for a silent auction with the proceeds going to ECLA World Hunger. Quarters are also collected and presented at the Assembly for ELCA World Hunger.

Fair Trade Project Fair Trade provides the means through which farmers and artisans around the globe can earn a fair wage, support and build up their communities and protect the environment. You can purchase Fair Trade coffee, tea and chocolate during church office hours or on Sunday morning. Quilts The Dorcas Quilters meet at 9am on the last Wednesday of the month to work on quilts that are sent around the globe through LWR. Everyone is welcome to help, fabric is available if you would like to cut out squares, sew them together or meet to tie and finish quilts. Training is available.
Health, Sewing and School Kits (Soap Collection) Each year LWR distributes thousands of health, sewing and school kits worldwide. New and unused bars of soap may be donated in the basket in the entryway of the church. Brochures and instructions for assembling kits are available in the church lobby or at www.lwr.org.
