“The Lord goes before you. He will be with you; he will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.” Deuteronomy 31:8

As I write this, we are nearing the end of the month of April. The stay in place orders have changed our lives as we knew them. Students are experiencing distance learning, people are without work, people who are working are doing so in ways they could not have imagined. Face masks are the new fashion accessory.

All of this brings uncertainty, and for some, fear. Will our economy survive? Will my students keep pace with their learning? What about that surgery that was delayed? Will I get sick? Will I die?

Moses had some words of wisdom for Joshua as he was about to lead the Hebrews into the promised land. Those words are true for us today. The Lord goes before us. He will not fail us or forsake us. Through every challenge, every trial we face, God is with us.

Trust in the promises of God who loves us and walks before us, beside us, and behind us.
