Make a difference.

God calls on us to make a difference. We show God's love by being a welcoming church who strives to know, love, and serve God. Your generous gifts make that possible. In the past year, we were able to support Helping Hands of Upsala, Morrison County Food Shelf, Hands of Hope Resource Center, ELCA Missionaries - Steve and Bethany Friberg, local benefits, Upsala Upstage players, and SIL International.

Our general fund supports all that we do; it covers our operational expenses, property upkeep, and ministries in our church.

Designate Giving

Naming a specific ministry or need in the church can be a great way to follow your passion or honor someone special. These are some of the opportunities: BENEVOLENCE This money is allocated by the Stewardship Team to be used as noted. HELPING HANDS Donations that directly impact the local community. MEMORIAL GIFTS You can honor a loved one with a gift to the church in their name.

Disaster Relief

When natural disasters occur, these donations support efforts.

  • IN PERSON
    We take an offering at each worship gathering through cash, check or dropped off or mailed during the week. If you would like some offering envelopes mailed to you, please contact the office at (320) 573-2001 or gethluth@upstel.net.
  • SIMPLY GIVING
    Electronic giving is good for you and for the church Electronic giving can keep you on track with stewardship and guarantees uninterrupted support for our church. • Give anytime, anywhere to your favorite funds • Schedule and manage recurring donations • Make one-time donations to special appeals • Pay for events, programs, and other activities If you would like to give electronically, give the church office, (320) 573-2001, or stop by.
  • SIMPLY GIVING APP

With GivePlus Church, you can use your smartphone to give anytime, anywhere! • Download the FREE app on your Apple or Android phone • Make one-time or recurring donations using your debit/credit card or checking/savings account • Log in or donate as a guest • Securely and conveniently manage donations using Touch ID/Fingerprint, PIN or password To give through the app, search your phone’s app store for “GivePlus Church” or contact the church office.
  • PLANNED GIVING
    You can support our ministry directly or through a bequest, IRA, or retirement benefit plan, life insurance, stocks, bonds, or other assets.
  • QCDS (Qualified Charitable Distributions)
    For individuals aged 70 ½ or older, you can direct all or a portion of your RMDs (required minimum distributions) from your individual retirement accounts to the church tax free.
  • THRIVENT CHOICE DOLLARS
    Bringing generosity to life. Through Thrivent Choice®, our clients with membership can contribute to organizations and causes they care about—and influence how Thrivent distributes some of its charitable grant funding through Choice Dollars®. You can make a personal donation to your favorite enrolled organization—Thrivent pays the processing fees.* Eligible clients with membership can also direct Choice Dollars or nominate an organization to be a part of the program.
